An Efficient and Secure Identity-Based Strong Designated Verifier Signature Scheme

چکیده

A strong designated verifier signature scheme makes it possible for a signer to convince a designated verifier that she has signed a message in such a way that the designated verifier cannot transfer the signature to a third party, and no third party can even verify the validity of a designated verifier signature. In 2008, Zhang and Mao proposed a novel IDbased strong designated verifier signature scheme based on bilinear pairings by combining ID-based cryptosystem with the designated verifier signature. However, Kang et al. pointed out that Zhang-Mao scheme did not satisfy the strong designated verifier signature property and then proposed an efficient ID-based designated verifier signature scheme that is strong and unforgeable. Nevertheless, this paper demonstrates that Kang et al.’s scheme is still vulnerable to universal forgery attacks and then proposes an improved scheme that not only can overcome such forgery attacks but also can provide more efficiency.

Convertible limited (multi-) verifier signature: new constructions and applications

A convertible limited (multi-) verifier signature (CL(M)VS) provides controlled verifiability and preserves the privacy of the signer. Furthermore, limited verifier(s) can designate the signature to a third party or convert it into a publicly verifiable signature upon necessity. In this proposal, we first present a generic construction of convertible limited verifier signature (CLVS) into which...

A New Efficient Identity-based Strong Designated Verifier Signature Scheme with Message Recovery

Designated verifier signature (DVS) allows the signer to convince a verifier the validity of a statement but prevent the verifier from transferring the conviction. Strong designated verifier signature (SDVS) is a variant of DVS, which could make it possible for a signer to convince only the designated verifier that the signature is made by the signer. Recently, many strong designated verifier s...

Universal forgery attack on a strong designated verifier signature scheme

Based on the bilinear Diffie-Hellman assumption, in 2009, Kang et al. proposed an identity-based strong Designated Verifier Signature (DVS) scheme which only allows the intended verifier to verify the signature. Besides, the designated verifier is not capable of transferring the conviction to any third party. Their scheme was proved secure in the random oracle model. In this paper, however, we ...

A Non-delegatable Identity-based Designated Verifier Signature Scheme without Bilinear Pairings

Up to now, several non-delegatable identity-based (strong) designated verifier signature schemes using bilinear pairings are proposed. In these identity-based (strong) designated verifier signature schemes, bilinear pairings are employed either in signing and verifying steps or only in the verifying step. However, the computation cost of pairings at a security level equivalent to a 128-bit symm...

An efficient non-delegatable identity based strong designated verifier signature scheme

Designated verifier signatures are intended to a specific and unique designated verifier, who is the only one person to check their validity. This paper proposes a new efficient non-delegatable strong designated verifier signature scheme based on identity based cryptography. We analyze the security of the scheme and compare its computational aspects with the other ID-SDVS schemes existing in li...
